Leyla from the very beginning of the preparations shared with us her love for colors and flowers. She wanted a curated yet not extravagant wedding. Attention to details, personalized touches and, of course, take good care of the guests. Colors and flowers were everywhere. Vibrant, spring tones, special flowers and colorful garden roses. The wedding stationery suite design sets the tone for every wedding event! The save-the-date card, one of the most striking ones we’ve ever made, featured a colorful illustration of Hydra’s port and it really made a statement. The invitations and the program were also designed in the same style and pattern.

Details, details, details, everywhere! The gifts for the guests were unique. A scented candle with a citrus fruit in a ceramic glass with a wooden lid featuring a sketch of Hydra and a small box with wedding bonbons. The ceremony took place under the gazebo of Sunset Restaurant, overlooking the sea. The perfect spot for this intimate event. Love with a view to endlessness. The minimal structure was embellished with vivid floral arrangements and a colorful arch was placed under it. The result was classy, as we had planned, beautiful and at the same time playfully cinematic.

The dinner area was accordingly and carefully arranged. Wide terracotta colored runners ran along the long tables and small vases with colorful flowers and candles were placed all around. Seating was assigned and named, which always elevates the high-end experience. Their menu of choice as well as their gifts were placed individually by each guest’s seat. The simple yet elegant dessert table contained wedding bonbons for the Greek touch and Turkish delights to honor the bride’s descent, thus combining both cultural heritages. The wedding day finally came and it started early in the historic mansion of Hydra. Leyla’s preparations took place in the master suite, overlooking the quaint port, along with her most intimate people. At the same time, Antonis was making his own preparations in the mirror suite, along with his best friends. They both were filled with anticipation as they were preparing to have their first look photoshoot, which of course was a magical moment. Our talented photographer captured places, colors, as well as the people in the most skillful way.

A sudden, unexpected rain caused a small delay, yet nothing in the schedule was compromised. Iokasti along with her team of talented partners and vendors worked relentlessly to make this day the most memorable and beautiful day in the life of Leyla and Antonis. The cue to start the wedding was a spectacular rainbow arching over the town –you know what they say about silver linings- and giving our bride back her smile. The wedding ceremony started with music under the iconic gazebo and the couple exchanged their vows in the presence of 180 guests.

The view was breathtaking and uninhibited. We’ve told you before about the island’s aura and its vibes, but from that point the feeling was really indescribable. It’s always been a challenge to create color palettes for Hydra, as the island has a well-defined landscape that needs to be respected, but our experienced team has always found a way to highlight this amazing canvas. A lavish reception followed the heartfelt ceremony. Starting with cocktail hour the guests enjoyed the four signature cocktails in the best spot of the island, at the best hour. People mingling and having fun under the sounds of saxophone and violin, the night went on in the most cheerful and celebratory atmosphere.

Once more, our team was asked to design a luxury wedding in an outstanding place. We really worked hard, as we always do, to meet and surpass our couple’s expectation.
